We’ve created a report based on data from over 20,000 claimants to see who’s claiming and whether where you live makes a difference on the likelihood of being mis-sold a Packaged Bank Account.
With just under 12 million people having a Packaged Bank Account in the UK, there is a high chance that you’re paying for benefits with your bank. The key is to ask whether you need all of the benefits included, whether you’re eligible and if you know the conditions of every benefit that’s included- if not, you could have been mis-sold.
48% of people claiming were male, while 52% were female, but gender made no difference to the success of the claim.
The largest proportion of people claiming are between 29 and 48, and it is this age group that has the greatest chance of having been mis-sold their Packaged Bank Account.
Demographic distribution of claimants
There is a percentage of success across every age bracket and with 5% of successful claims coming from people aged over 79, it’s never too late to investigate whether you have been mis-sold.
